Mike Russell was born and raised in Delmont Pennsylvania, Westmoreland County. Upon graduation from high school, Mike attended college at Carnegie Mellon University and graduated from Grove City College with a B. A. in political science. He earned his J. D. from Regent University in Virginia. In his second year of law school, he served on the Regent University Law Review and was elected to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review during his final year.  He also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Upon graduation from law school, Mike returned to Pennsylvania and began his career in Greensburg. While his practice focused on representing insurance companies in Workers’ Compensation claims, Mike gained valuable experience in other fields of the law including domestic relations and divorce work, municipal law, personal injury and other general legal matters.  After two years, he joined one of the foremost law firms in downtown Pittsburgh where he spent the next 19 years representing injured workers and Social Security Disability claimants throughout Western Pennsylvania.  Immediately before joining Conlon Tarker, Mike operated his own law firm in Murrysville Pennsylvania continuing to represent injured workers and Social Security claimants.

Mike and his wife, Rachel, reside in Armstrong County with their four children Brittany, Matthew, Benjamin and Gabrielle.
